Quite new to this weebly setup. It's quick and easy to start but I have to follow their limitations. E.g, if you float over Bamboo+ some sub menus appear which tend to make you follow them. Actually Bamboo+ itself needs to be clicked on to open another page; the submenus afterwards.

Also I've tried to use links which open  in a new window. The QGM site should still be the tab to the left of the new link window.

If this works OK the domain name, i.e without weebly, is available

The story proposes dire circumstances for the human race. If the structure of modern civilization breaks down in a similar way to the outcome of nuclear war then high casualty numbers are to be expected.

There are people who advocate a smaller population. Even conspiracy theorists accusing the CIA and NSA of introducing AIDS and Ebola into the population. There is no shortage of military conflict around the world. The Defence Industries thrive as their $multi billion corporations  influence governments.

Zombies, alien invasion, hurtling asteroids immune to nuclear missiles are an increasing feature of fiction and Hollywood. The teenage consumer is particularly interested in vampires and zombies. It's almost as if the fiction intends to  force a reality of doom despair and breakdown of the status quo. Is our race so bored?

Other conspiracy lovers indicate a New World Order overseeing our development. No cure for cancer, influenza, pernicious malaria, the common cold? I read there are $32 trillion lying offshore waiting to re-enter the markets. There are so many zeros on currencies we should be in the Weimar republic.

Africa. Dominated by warlords and corrupt politicians, the continent is a treasure trove of resources and wealth. Yet we have charity muggers and shops in our High Streets asking for more. Africa could be repaired and made to stand on its own feet in a matter of a few years.

The point? Taylor's Europe and England recovery is thwarted. The underclass people left behind to fend after the evacuation symbolize this syndrome. Strife is a political decision.

Next. What inspires the material elements of the story. Making no claim to predict sea level rise. Someone said 'Fill a glass with ice cubes, it doesn't spill over when it melts.'

A swedish scientist announced recently that the Maldive sea levels had not changed in 50 years; he wasn't allowed to publish the results locally. I don't want sea levels to rise but it makes for a convincing threat to the breakdown of society. In other words, a good story.

I wrote the story a few years ago. I wanted to write a book. I like futuristic stuff, I like technology. In our rush to achieve our idyllic techno future we have forgotten some gems of wisdom from our ancestors.  Our world is run by  greedy selfish morons. We could do it so much better.

I'm neither a 'denier' nor an eco-warrior; one cares nothing about the future and despoils the world of today; the other wants us to live in a yurt and eat berries. Some of them feel justified in   scratching their bicycle clips down the side of your 4x4.

I worry about people who jump  on bandwagons; who think CO2 is a poisonous gas like Carbon Monoxide. Perhaps part of the school syllabus could include information about exactly how much CO2 there is as a %age of the atmosphere and how it acts as a vital regulatory component of life. I could go on and probably will.

What happens in the story?

It's too late; the seas are rising. Rising at a rate which isn't going to recede. Imagine the chaos of our semi detached and city bound populations. Imagine the breakdown of industry, finance, food distribution, clean water, civilisation.

Well it's happening and I'd like you to imagine what preparation could be made if it were to happen next year. As in, don't worry too much about your birth certificates, your passports, your house insurance policy. Get those survival books from Amazon; consider how you will charge the batteries in your smartphone, ipad, kindle. Get the hard copy.

Well, some people have thought about it. In depth. You will come to know them as Quiet Government Men.

A happy coincidence, our man Taylor is already geared up for it and he's the main protagonist in the story. I won't say hero because Taylor would reject such nonsense.
